GhostedReader

User-agent: GhostedReader/1.0 (+https://notaghost.jobs/reader/; hello@notaghost.jobs)

GhostedReader is the crawler behind Ghosted, a free check that tells a job seeker in Bengaluru whether a posting is still open on the employer's own hiring system. It is operated by NOTAGHOST.JOBS (OPC) Private Limited, Bengaluru.

What it reads

• Public careers pages and the public job-listing endpoints those pages use (Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Oracle Cloud and similar).
• Individual public job postings, once each, to record the description and posting date.

It never signs in, never reads anything behind a login, and never reads job boards or social networks.

How it behaves

• Honours robots.txt, including Crawl-delay. Rules for GhostedReader take precedence over *.
• One request at a time per site, at least 0.4 s apart; backs off on 429 and 5xx.
• Does not republish job descriptions. Listings are used only to answer "is this role open today?" and to link seekers back to the employer's own page.
